The Justice Society has it’s final member. It’s incredibly surprising that Pierce Brosnan hasn’t done a superhero film at this point. The Dwayne Johnson starring Black Adam is getting Dr. Fate in on some of the action. According to THR, the former James Bond is playing the classic DC character.
The Justice Society is a precursor to the Justice League and includes Aldis Hodge as Hawkman, Noah Centino as Atom Smasher, and Quintessa Swindell as Cyclone. The film starts production in Atlanta in April.
It’s a huge film for the DC film universe, especially now that the SnyderVerse of films is said to be done. Fate is one of the oldest characters in the DC Comics, going all the way back to the 1940’s.
Black Adam is directed by Jaume Collet-Serra and written by Rory Haines and Sohrab Noshirvani. Black Adam follows the New-Line/DC relationship that started with Shazam. Which also had some casting news yesterday that Helen Mirren is playing a villain in the film.
As with any of these stories, it’s developing as we speak. So stay tuned to That Hashtag Show for more on DC news.
