Star Wars fans have waited for long enough. The animated 2003 version of The Clone Wars is heading to Disney+. In addition to that, the 1985 cartoon Ewoks is making it’s debut on the service on Friday, April 2nd. Genndy Tartakovsky’s 2003 cartoon of The Clone Wars predated the smash hit animated series, and was at one point the first sighting we had of General Grievous. The series is no longer considered canon, but fans were clamoring for a way to watch the series.
Ewoks aired from 1985 to 1986 and was based on the characters seen in Return of the Jedi. It had two seasons, and both are headed to Disney+. There’s no announcement involving Droids, which was a similar series to Ewoks.
Finally, “The Story of the Faithful Wookie” or the only watchable part of the Star Wars: Holiday Special is also going to Disney+ on that Friday, April 2nd.
