The End Is Nye will be hosted and executive produced by Bill Nye, renowned science educator, engineer, author, and inventor. The new series sends Nye into the most epic global disasters imaginable – both natural and unnatural. Nye then demystifies them using science to show how we can survive, mitigate, and even prevent them.
Each episode of the series dives into the mystery and reality of its threats, which span a wide-range of topics. Expect Nye to school you on everything from viruses to volcanoes, asteroids to authoritarianism, and climate change to chemical warfare. The End Is Nye offers up a scientific blueprint for surviving anything and everything that might come our way.
Brannon Braga (Cosmos: Possible Worlds, Star Trek) will serve as showrunner and executive producer. He will also direct all episodes.
Nye is an Emmy-award winning television host, best known for his role in the ‘90s science program Bill Nye the Science Guy. Since 2010, Nye has served as the CEO of The Planetary Society where he has played a central role in fulfilling the organization’s mission to advance space science and exploration. He’s also a New York Times best-selling author and the host of the podcast Science Rules!
Nye built his career around promoting science literacy, and believes in using science as a vehicle to inspire people to change the world for the better. The world may be a scary, confusing place sometimes – but Bill Nye the Science Guy wants to help you get through it.
