Though Netflix previously released a stag teaser and some first look photos, this is our first real look at the Grishaverse in action. Fans of Leigh Bardugo’s books will note the trailer teases quite a few big moments. We see Alina and Mal first enter the Shadow Fold, and the Darkling discovering Alina’s power. We also get a look at some of the Crows in action.
Based on the trailer, the series looks impressive. Netflix hasn’t skimped on this one: from the costumes and music to the special effects, it looks like this will be one hell of a show. As a fan of the Bardugo books the Shadow & Bone series is based on, I’m definitely excited to see the Grishaverse come to life.
Along with the trailer, Netflix also dropped some new images, giving us a deeper look at the world and spotlighting some characters we hadn’t seen much of yet. Check them out below.
