Do you miss Disneyland so much you’d turn up just for the food? Disney Parks is betting people will.
While rides and attractions must remain closed under California law, Disney is tapping into the looser restrictions on restaurants to get people into the park again. They’re hosting A Touch of Disney at select outdoor areas of Disney California Adventure. It’s basically a Disney Parks food tasting event.
You can’t just roll up to this limited experience though. If you want to get your hands on some Dole Whip or Mickey-shaped soft pretzels, you’ll need to get tickets.
Tickets for guests ages 3 and up cost $75 and include:
- Parking for the experience at the Mickey & Friends Parking Structure beginning at 11:30 AM
- A $25 A Touch of Disney Dining Card redeemable for food and nonalcoholic beverages at select dining locations within the Disneyland Resort (subject to restrictions including not being valid for alcohol purchases)
- Unlimited digital downloads of Disney PhotoPass photos captured during day of the experience.
A Touch of Disney debuts March 18 and runs Thursdays through Mondays from 12pm to 8pm until April 5. Tickets will be released on a rolling basis, and are only available in advance and online.
Ticketholders can munch on iconic food and beverages from Disney as they wander the streets of California Adventure. You’ll even find special photo ops with some of your favorite characters. (Again, note that while you’ll be able to walk around California Adventure, rides and attractions remain closed.)
Buena Vista Street will remain open as an extension of the Downtown Disney District through March 14. It will then become a part of A Touch of Disney when the experience launches March 18.
So, what do you think about this new experience from Disney? Will you head out to California Adventure just to eat some Disneyland snacks? Let us know in the comments.
