This is a spoiler for the upcoming Snyder Cut of Justice League. So if you don’t want that movie’s ending cameo spoiled, do not read on!

You’ve been warned, and The Justice League wouldn’t want to see you sad.

Justice League; Snyder Cut

Gizmodo, Variety, and Vanity Fair are all reporting various elements of this story. With Gizmodo confirming that the cameo that Zack Snyder has teased is not in fact, Ryan Reynolds as the Green Lantern.

It’s a bit smaller than that, it’s not even a Green Lantern. They’re reporting that the cameo is Harry Lennix as Martian Manhunter. We might have already seen Lennix’s human version in Batman V. Superman and Man Of Steel, but we haven’t seen him as Martian Manhunter yet. Lennix spoke to Variety about doing Motion Capture for the upcoming Director’s Cut.

This story was also partially confirmed by storyboards that Snyder revealed back in 2019 for the film.

While this won’t be a gigantic fan-pleasing reveal like Reynolds as Green Lantern, it’s still quite big for the DC fandom overall. Martian Manhunter is one of the most popular characters in the DC Universe, and we have yet to see him on our screens in a live-action project.

I for one, am super excited for this. Martian Manhunter has been one of my favorites ever since I watched the Justice League cartoon back in the day. Now they just need to get a live-action Jon Stewart…

Zack Snyder’s Director’s Cut of Justice League arrives on HBO Max, March 18th.
