Before we even get the second season of the new spin on Creepshow, Shudder is renewing it for a third! The second season, which lands on the streaming service on April 1st, gave Shudder all they needed to see for a third. Showrunner Greg Nicotero had this to say about the show and the decision.
During our season two production, Shudder was so pleased with what they were seeing that they asked us to roll right into production on a brand-new third season that will feature some of our most ambitious stories yet. I’m incredibly thankful to the team at Shudder for the opportunity to continue honoring the genre with more gleefully ghoulish tales over not one, but two new seasons of Creepshow this year.
Greg Nicotero On Creepshow’s Third Season
Creepshow‘s revival began two years ago with the first season and a couple of specials (one animated, one holiday) in 2020. So that means in 2021 we’re getting two seasons of the show. Production on season three is already underway. The first season smashed records for viewership on the Shudder platform, including records for new subscribers, and total minutes streamed.
There’s no set date for the third season arriving, other than just “later this year”. Among the guest stars we can expect are Ethan Embry and King Bach.
