Gina Carano has been no stranger to controversial posts on social media and as of tonight, it seems that Lucasfilm has had enough. In a report from Deadline, they have said that a spokesman from Lucasfilm has released the following statement:
“Gina Carano is not currently employed by Lucasfilm and there are no plans for her to be in the future. Nevertheless, her social media posts denigrating people based on their cultural and religious identities are abhorrent and unacceptable.”
This comes after Carano shared a post on social media comparing being a Republican to being Jewish during the time of Nazi Germany. Ever since that post, the hashtag #FireGinaCarano has been trending.

Well, that was an absolutely dumb and abhorrent comparison, so….
No one is saying that Republicans, or, more accurately, Trump supporters are subhuman, evil, and the source of everything wrong with America or the world. Nor has anyone called for kicking them out of the U.S. or exterminating them.
I have zero sympathy for Gina Carano. She made her bed; let her lie in it.
