DC’s Dark Nights: Death Metal was a huge hit in 2020. The comic series is getting an injection of heavy metal for it’s international launch. Seven of the world’s biggest heavy metal acts are joining in on the DC comic. Megadeth, Ozzy Osbourne, Ghost, Lacuna Coil, Opeth, Sepultura, and Dream Theater are getting special edition variant covers. The seven-issue limited edition event launches in 13 countries starting in March.

Dark Nights: Death Metal came out in the US in June 2020. It comes from the duo of writer Scott Snyder and artist Greg Capullo. It set the story for the Dark Multiverse starring the runaway favorite villain, the Batman Who Laughs. In this new dark universe, the Justice League’s power is diminished. Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman struggle to survive in this almost unrecognizable landscape of horror.
