We already know a ton of big names will appear in the upcoming Thor sequel Love and Thunder. But now a popular actor/comedian wants a chance to join the MCU.
That’s right. Melissa McCarthy wants a role in Love and Thunder.
McCarthy took to Instagram to shoot her shot with Thor. You can watch her and her husband Ben Falcone “audition” for the movie in the clip below.
In the clip, McCarthy and Falcone express their love for Thor, Marvel, and director Taika Waititi. They offer to recite prepared dramatic monologues to “audition” for unspecified roles in the new movie.
“We could be love and thunder,” sings McCarthy in conclusion, gesturing first to Falcone and then to herself.
Thor: Love and Thunder already boasts a stacked cast of returning favs. We know the film will prominently feature Natalie Portman as Jane Foster. Fans will also see the return of Jaimie Alexander’s Lady Sif and Tessa Thompson’s Valkyrie. Plus, we’re expecting a Guardians of the Galaxy crossover with the confirmation of Chris Pratt.
I for one certainly wouldn’t mind an appearance from McCarthy and Falcone in Love and Thunder. And if anyone could sort out the perfect cameo for these two, it would be Waititi.
