The Night Stalker was a terror on the city of Los Angeles. In this new limited docu-series from Netflix, go into the mind of Richard Ramirez and his victims. The official synopsis from Netflix does it the best service:
Night Stalker: The Hunt for a Serial Killer tells the spellbinding true story of how one of the most notorious serial killers in American history was hunted down and brought to justice. In the sweltering summer of 1985, a record-breaking heatwave hit Los Angeles, along with a series of murders and sexual assaults that at first seemed disconnected. The victims were men, women, and children. They ranged in age from six to 82. They came from different neighborhoods, racial backgrounds and socioeconomic levels. Never before in criminal history had a single killer been responsible for such a grisly array of crimes.
Like plenty of other documentaries on the platform, Night Stalker: The Hunt for a Serial Killer is a different point of view on the 1985 serial killer that plagued Los Angeles.
What this series looks like it does differently though, is how it shapes the narrative. It looks like it’s shot like a horror movie, which could add to the terror based around the Night Stalker. Either way, we’ll have to see when the series drops on Netflix, January 13th, 2021.
