Disney made quite a few announcements during Investor Day, but this is a big one. Animated feature Encanto releases in fall 2021.
Disney’s 60th animated film had not been announced prior to the Investor Day news. The movie transports viewers to Colombia, where a magical family lives in a magical home.

Encanto comes from directors Byron Howard and Jared Bush. Writer Charlse Castro Smith co-directs.
The movie also features songs in English and Spanish, composed by Lin-Manuel Miranda.
