Mario Lopez is finger-lickin’ good in the latest flick from Lifetime.

(I mean. I HAD to say it. Right?)

Lopez will play Colonel Sanders, the iconic face of fried chicken chain restaurant KFC.

But this isn’t a documentary about the start of the restaurant. Oh no. This is a sexy, soapy drama about the man himself.

Check out the trailer for A Recipe for Seduction below (if you dare):

“Some folks take their secrets to the grave, but Colonel Sanders takes his to the deep fryer,” says the promo on KFC’s Facebook page.

I’m not sure how everyone else’s trailer experience went, but I can say I never expected to share a name with sexy Colonel Sanders’ lover.

Via Lifetime, the official synopsis is:

As the holidays near, an heiress (played by Bosch alum Justene Alpert) contends with the affections of a suitor handpicked by her mother. When the handsome chef arrives with his secret recipe and a dream, he sets in motion a series of events that unravel the mother’s plans.

TV Line confirmed A Recipe for Seduction is actually a “15-minute mini-movie,” not a feature film. So it’s more “long, strange commercial” than movie. (Are you grateful or disappointed to hear that?)

I certainly didn’t have “late-stage capitalism gets horny” on my 2020 bingo card. But what else can we really expect from such an unpredictable year?

A Recipe for Seduction airs December 13 on Lifetime.
