In a week of good news for 2021, David Lynch has added to the list of things to anticipate. Production Weekly confirmed on November 26th that the current working title of Lynch’s new project is Wisteria. Production is set to begin in May 2021 with David Lynch set to write and direct. During the pandemic, Lynch has mostly worked from home on both wood and short films or promoting a concert for his foundation. Now, it looks like Lynch had something else in the works behind the scenes as well.

Little is known about the new project for Netflix, including whether this will be a feature or a series. Lynch is working with longtime collaborator Sabrina S. Sutherland , but the plot and cast have yet to be announced. This is not the first project for Lynch at Netflix. Lynch created and starred in the 2017 short What Did Jack Do?, which premiered on Netflix earlier this year. Although Wisteria is likely not a continuation of the monkey crime saga in the Netflix short, it is still too early to rule out. Any guesses as to the plot for Wisteria? Is it Twin Peaks related? Let us know!

So what do you think about Lynch’s latest project?
