Best crossover Star Wars characters, Number 1: Maul
Maul, like Boba Fett before him, became an instantly classic character. Though his appearance in The Phantom Menace was cut short, Maul nonetheless enthralled fans. Too unique a character to have such a minimal role, Dave Filoni and George Lucas brought Maul back for The Clone Wars. In hindsight, doing so was perhaps one of the best decisions ever made in the franchise. As much as we have Filoni and Lucas to thank for his return, the true accolades go to voice actor Sam Witwer. Without him, Maul might not have been more than an afterthought on the list of best crossover Star Wars characters.
