If you’re like me, you love yourself some Predator. Ever since the original in 1986, I’ve been fascinated by the alien beings. Even though we’ve had a bit of a lull in popularity for the beast, we’re getting a new film. Deadline is reporting that Dan Trachtenberg of 10 Cloverfield Lane is directing the upcoming film. In addition to that, Patrick Aison is writing the film. Some of his credits include: Jack Ryan, Treadstone, and Kingdom. We don’t know much about the plot, but the article references that it won’t be making much mention of the previous film in the franchise, The Predator.
The Predator franchise has had some real highs with the original film and Predators. While Predator 2 might be a cult classic of the action genre, it’s not in the same ballpark as the original with Arnold Schwarzenegger. So let’s hope we can get the franchise back on track.
