Good news for HBO Max subscribers using Amazon Fire TVs and tablets. Starting November 17, the HBO Max app will be available on these devices.

Current subscribers of HBO through Amazon Prime Video Channels can begin using the HBO Max app to login to the streamer. (They will use their Amazon credentials to do so.) If you’ve been using the regular HBO app on an Amazon TV or Fire tablet, it will automatically update to the HBO Max app. Basically, regardless of where your HBO subscription originated, you can start logging in on your Amazon device tomorrow.

“We are very excited that Amazon customers will now be able to enjoy the best-in-class content that lives within HBO Max,” said Tony Goncalves, Head of Sales and Distribution for WarnerMedia. “Our continued goal is to make HBO Max and its unparalleled content available to customers across all the devices they love. Fire TV is a favorite among customers and we look forward to working with the Amazon team to engage and grow our existing subscriber base by showcasing all that HBO Max has to offer.”

If you access streaming apps via a Fire TV stick, that will also allow you to login to HBO Max.

The launch will be voice compatible, so you can say “Alexa, find HBO Max” to pull up the app. HBO Max content will be integrated into the Fire TV universal search feature. So, you can also say “Alexa, find dramas” to pull results like Game of Thrones or His Dark Materials.

HBO Max currently offers over 10,000 hours of premium programming. In addition to HBO original series, the platform hosts content from DC, Cartoon Network, Turner Classic Movies and more.
