If you haven’t heard of Xochitl Gomez, don’t be afraid, but you’ll certainly know her name soon. The actress from The Babysitters Club on Netflix, is joining the cast of Doctor Strange In the Multiverse of Madness. The Sam Raimi helmed film starts shooting in May of next year. Deadline is reporting that Gomez is joining Benedict Cumberbatch, B.D. Wong, Chiwetel Ejiofor, and Elizabeth Olsen in the Doctor Strange sequel. The film would normally have started shooting earlier, but Cumberbatch is busy right now filming his scenes for Spider-Man 3.

So while we’re probably getting a link between Spider-Man 3 and The Multiverse of Madness, we’re also getting links to the upcoming show WandaVision.

It’s not know currently what role Xochitl Gomez is playing. Some online are speculating that it’s America Chavez from various Marvel comics over the years. Either way it’s a pretty exciting development for the young actress. This’ll be her first large-scale production outside of The Babysitters Club.
