If you were confused or wary of news outlets, just like this one, reporting that Boba Fett would make an appearance in the second season of The Mandalorian, you weren’t off base. It seemed like such an off-the-wall rumor. One that sites like to make up to get views on a story. Well, this one has turned out to be true. According to the Australian casting website, ShowCast, Tamuera Morrison is showing up on the show as Boba Fett. A casting agency wouldn’t really need to lie about this, and it’s a pretty rock solid source.
For the non-Legends fans out there, Boba Fett didn’t actually die in his tussle with the Sarlacc in Return of the Jedi. So in the Legends series of media, he actually escaped the Sarlacc. We’ll have to see how the second season of The Mandalorian deals with this. After all, we could be making a huge fuss about something that’s as simple as a flashback or whatever. Disney didn’t make any mention of the character in the second season trailer that released earlier this week.
It’s one of the many mysteries about the second season that haven’t really been answered. We got a bunch of casting news/rumors from a variety of sources about either Rosario Dawson playing Ahsoka Tano to Michael Biehn making an appearance on the show. We’ll have to find out on October 30th when the first episode comes out on Disney+. What do you think Boba Fett is going to do on the second season of The Mandalorian.
