There have been two burning questions following the cancellation of Star Wars Celebration. The first is when we’ll finally get to see a trailer for The Mandalorian Season 2. Unfortunately we still don’t have an answer to that. We do, however, now have an answer regarding the date of The Mandalorian Season 2 premiere.
The Mandalorian Season 2 Premiere
Lucasfilm and Disney+ made the official announcement of the Season 2 premier date via Instagram as seen above. In doing so they also revealed the Season 2 logo. Looking closely, the new logo hints at another, brand new location for the show’s setting.
The Mandalorian roared onto the streaming scene late last year, and immediately became the most streamed show in history. the Star Wars spin-off follows a lone Mandalorian bounty hunter in the Outer Rim. When his conscience got the better of him, he found himself with a ward in the form of “The Child.” Now in the Season 2 premiere we’ll find out where their adventures take them next.
Show star Giancarlo Esposito (Moff Gideon) has already promised epic lightsaber action in Season 2. Will that feature battles with Ahsoka Tano? We’ll find out finally with the Season 2 premiere on October 30, 2020.
The Mandalorian stars Pedro Pascal in the title role. Joining him in the main cast are Carl Weathers (Greef Carga) and Gina Carrano (Cara Dune). Airing on Fridays, the show follows the old serial format of one show per week. Beginning with the Season 2 premiere on October 30, fans now have something Star Wars to Look forward to.
