Cyberpunk 2077 might be the most anticipated game of 2020. It’s been delayed a bit due to bug fixing and polish. The game won’t be having a beta test at all. So CDProjektRed has had to comment on these fake invites being circulated through email.
It’s an interesting scam for those scumbags out there trying to get information out of people. Pick the most popular and anticipated game of the year, and fake like there’s going to be open beta invites! Luckily and unluckily for all of us, CDProjektRed set the record straight with it. The unlucky part is that there will not be a beta for the game at all.
Is There Good News From This About Cyberpunk 2077?
Well there is a silver lining to all of this. A beta test would be necessary for a game to iron out all the kinks and bugs. With the extra time because of a delay, this means that the game is going to be that much more polished. According to the developer, the game was ready to launch at it’s original slot in April, but they wanted to get out the best game that they could. So launching on November 19th, isn’t going to be too much of a blow.
The game is the next in line for the famed developer of The Witcher series. It’ll take a similar approach with an open world in a futuristic society. You’re an outlaw with cybernetic improvements, and a particular one that promises immortality. The game will allow for full customization of your character and playstyle. So you can look forward to all of the gameplay and action later this year for the PC, Xbox One, PS4, PS5, and Xbox Series X.
