The third season of Star Trek: Discovery beams down to Earth October 15.
CBS All Access revealed the premiere date with a video of Commander Burnham (Sonequa Martin-Green), which seems to pick up after the season 2 finale. In the finale, Burnham traveled through a wormhole. The premiere date clip shows her planting a Federation flag on a rocky, empty-looking planet. Check out the clip below:
Season 3 of Star Trek: Discovery finds the crew in an uncertain future far from home. They’ll have to work together with some new friends to restore hope to the Federation.
New episodes will be available on CBS All Access every Thursday. But if you can’t wait until October, you can get an extra dose of Discovery right now. The cast recently reunited for a Q&A during Comic-Con@Home. Watch them table read the season 2 finale “Such Sweet Sorrow, Part 2″ below.
More Star Trek news
During Comic-Con@Home, CBS announced a new Star Trek series.
Star Trek: Prodigy, a joint venture with Nickelodeon, will be geared towards younger audiences. The animated series follows a group of lawless teens who discover a derelict Starfleet ship and use it to search for adventure, meaning and salvation.
However, Prodigy isn’t the only animated Trek series coming soon. Star Trek: Lower Decks joins the CBS All Access lineup in August. The adult comedy focuses on the support crew serving on one of Starfleet’s least important ships, the U.S.S. Cerritos.
