Earpers rise! Wynonna Earp returns for season 4 on July 26.
Check out the trailer below for your first look at the new season.
Admittedly, the return date is a bit of a double-edged sword. While fans will surely be excited for more of their favorite kick-ass demon hunter, the experience will be short-lived. Due to the COVID-19 production break, only the first six episodes of the season have been filmed. After a midseason finale scheduled for August 30, there will be a (potentially extended) break before the rest of the season airs.
Production on the final six episodes should resume this summer, provided proper health and safety measures can be met.
Wynonna Earp at Comic-Con@Home
But it’s not all bad news! Syfy also announced Wynonna Earp will join its panel lineup for Comic-Con@Home. The virtual program replaces San Diego Comic Con, running from July 23 to July 26. Creator/showrunner Emily Andras will take part, along with stars Melanie Scrofano, Tim Rozon, Dominique Provost-Chalkley, Katherine Barrell and Varun Saranga.
Based on the graphic novel of the same name, Wynonna Earp follows the life of the great great granddaughter of famous lawman Wyatt Earp as she hunts down demons in the town of Purgatory.
In season 4, having finally broken the infamous Earp Curse, Wynonna Earp should be celebrating. Unfortunately, she’s busy trying to rescue everyone she loves, save the town of Purgatory, and take on her most diabolical enemy yet – all without her trustworthy gun, Peacemaker.
Wynonna Earp won the 2018 People’s Choice Award for Favorite Sci-Fi/Fantasy Show.
