Boba Fett will return to the Star Wars universe in the 2nd season of The Mandalorian!
On May 8, 2020; The Hollywood Reporter officially announced that Boba Fett will be making an appearance in the 2nd season Disney Plus’s hit Star Wars TV series: The Mandalorian. This marks the first time the lethal bounty hunter appearing in a movie ever since his seeming demise in Return of the Jedi. In that movie, the last we see of him is his untimely end after a blinded Han Solo pulled a one-man Three Stooges act on Boba’s jetpack, setting it off and causing the bounty hunter tumble into the maw of a sarlacc.
But that’s not all. The Hollywood Reporter also announced that Boba Fett will be played not by his original actor, Jeremy Bulloch, but by none other than New Zealand’s Temuera Morrison. Morrison made his international debut playing Boba Fett’s father, Jango Fett, in Attack of the Clones.
That particular movie revealed Boba Fett’s origins as Jango Fett’s clone, the latter of who raised Boba Fett as if he truly was his son. Jango would unfortunately die at the hands of Mace Windu, right in front of his horrified son. The last we see of the kid is him cradling the severed head of his beloved father.
And now Morrison will complete the cycle, and play a grown-up Boba. It even makes perfect sense in-universe, since the bounty hunter should look like, well, a clone of his father.
Conclusion
Boba Fett is being resurrected from the dead, and will be played by the actor behind Jango Fett! What more could you ask? Just tune in to Disney Plus and catch the 2nd season of The Mandalorian in October 2020 to find out more!

Boba is holding his father’s helmet, not head. When Windu takes off Jango’s head, you can see a shadow of his head and the seperate helmet flying in different directions.
Eh, there’s probably bits of Jango still stuck in and on and the helmet, so I’m probably 1-2% right that Boba is holding Jango’s head, even though the remaining 98-99% is taken up by his helmet. :3
