Walt Disney World Resort
Due to COVID-19 Disney is offering the option of a refund or extension for all current Annual Passholders. Disney is recognizing the struggles many of us are all feeling at the moment due to the current situation of the world. Disney released a statement for both their Disneyland and Walt Disney World locations regarding the announcement.
When to Expect Changes
“Starting April 5, all automatic payments for Annual Passholders on monthly payment plans will stop for the remainder of the parks closure“
In the press release announcement Disney stated starting April 5th that Annual Passholders who have automatic monthly payments will stop while the parks are closed. It is also worth noting that any payments made between March 14th and April 4th will be refunded. If you are a Passholder Disney has stated that expiration dates will be extended to the number of days of the parks closure.
Passholders who have already paid their dues in full will also be receiving extentions on their passes. Another option to the extension for guests who have paid in full are partial refunds. Any Passholder that would like a partial refund will be given the option with details coming shortly.
Disneyland will be following the same course of action as the Walt Disney World Resort.
Planning for the Future
As always, it is hard telling when all of this will be over. Or when to expect the parks to reopen to the public. This is an unprecedented time in history. Businesses all over the world are scrambling to stay ahead of the curve. Other parks such as Universal have also started to find options for their passholders as well.
Now is the time for everybody to come together to help stop the spread of this virus. We stay inside so that we may all get back to the lives we know and love. Let’s all help each other so that we may experience Rise of the Resistance and Splash Mountain as soon as possible.
