The Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series has been suspended due to COVID-19. But that isn’t stopping NASCAR from still having races.

NASCAR and iRacing have teamed up for the eNASCAR iRacing Proinvitation Series. This is bringing former and current NASCAR drivers in for virtual racing at all of the popular NASCAR tracks.

This past weekend saw the first virtual race at Homestead-Miami Speedway. The only 2 NASCAR drivers who have used the iRacing technology were Denny Hamlin and Dale Earnhardt Jr. Denny came in first by pushing into and knocking Earnhart down to the apron.

And this week’s race took us to Fort Worth, Texas and to the Texas Motor Speedway.

eNASCAR Rolls Into Fort Worth

This Texas Motor Speedway race ran as all of the past NASCAR Texas races. The 2 major differences were the drivers weren’t racing for Monster Energy Cup Series points, and the race was only 125 laps. But it was still a super enjoyable race.

These race had a mix of Monster Energy Cup Series drivers, a few Xfinity Series drivers, a few Gander RV Truck series drivers, and a few other drivers from some of the other racing series. Totaling 43 drivers, the race was stacked with remarkable talent.

The front row was Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series driver William Byron as the Busch Beer Pole Sitter and fellow Monster Energy Cup Series driver Dale Earnhardt Jr.

Kyle Busch, who is my favorite driver, and who today drove the Number 18 Interstate Batteries Toyota Camry, ended up in row 10 with Alex Bowman.
