Star Wars: The Clone Wars returns in a matter of days, but you can watch a clip from the first episode here and now!
The Clone Wars returns for a seventh and final season after fan demand convinced Lucasfilm to resurrect the series. Showrunner Dave Filoni made the announcement well over a year and a half ago…. But the show is just now returning this Friday. Here’s the official synopsis for the seventh season’s first episode, “The Bad Batch”:
The Clone Wars Season 7
It’s the end of the historic Clone Wars, as the forces of darkness have amassed great power in their bid to transform the Republic into the Galactic Empire. With the Republic on a losing streak, Captain Rex fears the Separatists are using stolen data to help predict the Grand Army’s every move. As the threat of defeat looms, Rex teams up with experimental Clone Force 99, also known as the Bad Batch. Together, they embark on a high-risk mission behind enemy lines to uncover the truth behind the Separatist victories in “The Bad Batch,” an all-new episode of Star Wars: The Clone Wars making its debut this Friday, February 21 on Disney+.
From Ahsoka Tano’s return, to more of the Mandalorians, to Maul, The Clone Wars Season 7 promises much for Star Wars fans. Granted we already know how the war ends, namely with Episode III: Revenge of the Sith. However, it looks like we’re going to see a new side of the Republic forces with the “Bad Batch” this season.
Matt Lanter (Anakin), James Arnold Taylor (Obi-Wan) and Ashley Eckstein (Ahsoka) and Sam Witwer (Maul) all return to reprise their roles as The Clone Wars series comes to an end. You can watch the final season on Disney+ beginning February 21.
