Bayley vs. Lacey Evans (Smackdown Women’s Championship)

This was a match that I had a hard time seeing. Lacey Evans is all of a sudden a babyface. They went with an angle that Bayley and Sasha Banks were bullying her. Sasha was nowhere to be seen on this show. It was a bit of a mystery, but apparently she hasn’t been cleared medically to wrestle. Bayley is a really bad heel, but she pulled out everything in her bag of tricks for this one.

It was a bland match that wasn’t necessarily bad, but it wasn’t anything that was hugely exciting. I didn’t really care about the finish or who won or lost here. That’s the real issue with Bayley’s time as champion. She hasn’t done anything horrible as a heel to make people really root against her. Lacey Evans wasn’t particularly a credible contender to her, as she was recently a heel that was despicable. So it led to a match that wasn’t the greatest.
