Hello there, again. It seems like we have been talking about this Obi-Wan Disney+ series non-stop. And thanks to a report from Collider last night the talking didn’t end. Collider reported that the Obi-Wan Kenobi series was put on hold indefinitely because of the scripts not meeting Kathleen Kennedy’s standards. But according to Ewan McGregor all this drama surrounding the Obi-Wan Series is “Bullsh-t.”
Ewan McGregor on the Obi-Wan series
While speaking at the Birds of Prey world premiere last night, McGregor told comicbook.com that the scripts for the Obi-Wan series “were good” and that the creative differences are “not true.” Here is more on what McGregor told them:
“The Scripts are really good. I saw 90% of the writing and I really liked it. All of this bullsh-t about creative differences and all that stuff, none of it is true.” McGregor goes on to say that they just pushed the dates because after The Rise of Skywalker they had more time to read what has been written and wanted to do more work on it.
Is the Obi-Wan series delayed?
So, with Deborah Chow and McGregor still on board it looks like the only thing that might slow things down is that the show needs a new writer. According to McGregor the Disney+ series is still on track and will shoot in January 2021. “I think they want to keep the same release date so its not going to effect the viewer in any way.” So as of now it does look like everything is still on track for the Obi-Wan series.
We want to hear from you
Like we have said before there have been no official announcements from Disney. So, until they say what is officially going on with the series, we will look at it all as rumors and that the series is still a go and on track to finish on time. We will update you as more information comes out.
