The flood of Star Wars has begun. Last week we got the final trailer for Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker. Yesterday, we got the second trailer for The Mandalorian. Today, we get a new trailer for Jedi: Fallen Order! Check it out:
The Ninth Sister in Combat
We get to see Cal Kestis take on the behemoth of an Inquisitor. The Ninth Sister with her familiar double-blade light saber. It is not yet known if she is a boss battle (likely), or if she shows up from time to time to terrorize Cal along with the Second Sister and her army of Purge Troopers.
New Characters are introduced
The Mystery Woman
A new character is revealed in this new trailer. She comes with a warning for Cal about trespassing. First glance is reminiscent of Visas Marr from the Old Republic series. Obviously this isn’t her. She’s likely a temple guardian of some sort. Speaking of temples, check out this other still of a temple during gameplay:
Prauf Boudey
“A jovial and talkative native of the planet Abednedo, Prauf Boudey used to be a starship engineer but is now making ends meet working for the Scrapper Guild on Bracca. Making use of his engineering know-how and imposing physical size and strength, Prauf operates unwieldy heavy-duty cutters and welders in his work dismantling derelict starships. He’s also the closest thing Cal Kestis has to a friend or family. The older Abednedo looks out for Cal like a brother and gets him jobs through the Scrapper Guild. An odd couple, they work hard and don’t cause trouble, which helps them remain largely ignored by guild overseers.”
This explains why Cal decided to reveal himself as a Jedi. When Prauf takes a tumble, Cal uses the Force to save him, setting off this whole shindig. I can see the Sisters using their relationship against Cal at some dastardly point in this.
Jedi: Fallen Order – New Planets
Zeffo – Outer Rim
We also learn about two new locales in the game, the planets of Zeffo and Bogano. Star Wars.com’s Databank feature describes them:
“A mountainous, water-rich world located in the Outer Rim, Zeffo was once home to a small community of archaeologists and pioneers who ventured there from the core worlds of the Republic. The peaceful community was disrupted and ultimately destroyed when the Galactic Empire rose to power, starting with the pillaging of historical sites and sacred tombs, which ended only after excavations failed to turn up anything of immediate military value.”
Bogano – Outer Rim
“A remote planet located in the Outer Rim, Bogano remains a largely unexplored world due to the fact that it’s missing from most modern maps. With a surface dominated by vast mesas and sprawling wetlands, it is said the world was once the home of a quixotic Jedi Master and holds many as yet undiscovered secrets.”
The Sisters are waiting…
Are you ready to take on the Seventh and Ninth Sisters? Jedi: Fallen Order is available for pre-order now, and releases on November 15th. The game director behind this, Stig Asmussen promises “a truly authentic Jedi story,” and we can’t wait to get our hands on it. What about you, Padawan?
