Well it seems like everything is getting a reboot these days. From cassette tapes and fanny packs to movies and TV shows. Well today we can add another to the list of TV shows. According to THE WRAP Bayside High’s finest will be making a return in a new Saved By the Bell reboot.
Saved by the Bell is back
NBCUniversal is bringing Saved By the Bell to it’s new Peacock streaming service. The word around The Max is that Mario Lopez and Elizabeth Berkley will be reprising their roles as A.C. Slater and Jessie Spano. So far there has not been any word if any of the other original actors are returning. But it would be hard to believe that we will have a reboot without Mark-Paul Gosselaar (Zack Morris) and Dustin Diamond (Screech) who are probably the most recognizable charters of the show. Also, there has been no word if Tiffani-Amber Thiessen and Lark Voorhies will be returning to their roles as Kelly Kapowski and Lisa Turtle.

NBCUniversal’s Statement
Saved By the Bell will be written and executive produced by Tracey Wigfield. Peter Engel and Franco Bario will be executive producers as well. If Engel and Bario sound familiar to you Saved By the Bell fans, they should. Engel was an executive producer on Saved By the Bell, The College Years and The New Class. Bario also produced on the three Saved By the Bell spinoffs as well. Here is the description of the series:
“When California governor Zack Morris gets into hot water for closing too many low-income high schools, he proposes they send the affected students to the highest performing schools in the state — including Bayside High. The influx of new students gives the over privileged Bayside kids a much needed and hilarious dose of reality.”
