With D23 Expo 2019 already underway, the biggest news coming out of Day one will surely be from the Disney+ presentation. However before the presentation, The Mandalorian creator Jon Favreau sat down with GMA and dropped some interesting info that Star Wars fans will be sad about.
No Fett in The Mandalorian after all
When asked if we could expect an appearance from everyone’s favorite bounty hunter, this is what he had to say:
GMA: Boba Fett, will he be in The Mandalorian?
Favreau: Boba Fett is not (audio interrupted)…. they are all new original characters. I am at a timeframe that is 30 years stretch of story time that hasn’t been explored at all, except in the Extended Universe.
Now what’s interesting is that the audio gets a little glitchy at the exact moment he replies. It also sounds like he was dubbed in some parts. To hear for yourself you can check out the video below to see what we’re talking about. Was he really saying there’s no Boba Fett in The Mandalorian?
Favreau mentioned that he has put an array of easter eggs thru out the series so it’s still to early to believe everything the director has to say. (Don’t foreget: We’ve already seen R5-D4 and the infamous ice cream maker) We’ll find out more about The Mandalorian later today after the trailer is revealed during the highly anticipated Disney+ panel. In the meantime, you can check out some first looks at the live-action Star Wars series HERE.
