AEW Wrestling

AEW News has confirmed the Main Event of Kenny Omega and the Young Bucks vs. Chris Jericho and two mystery partners for it’s historic first episode of wrestling returning to TNT on Wednesday, October 2nd in Washington D.C. .

This comes hot off the heels of their landmark deal with TNT to return wrestling to the network and a successful first show. They’ll be going head-to-head with the wrestling titan WWE with their first major competition since the late 90’s. AEW is a new upstart company that began with Cody Rhodes and the Young Bucks at All In in Chicago last year. Now it’s grown into a national wrestling company with financial backing and a multi-faceted roster of male and female wrestlers. They’re going to compete directly with WWE.

Other AEW Wrestling/TNT Debut News

AEW also confirmed for the show, Jon Moxley making an appearance and Cody Rhodes vs. Sammy Guevara. More matches are expected to be confirmed in the coming weeks and months. Especially after AEW’s big Pay-Per-View event, All Out, on Saturday, August 31st, in Chicago.

Following that event, this is huge news. People were salivating thinking about all the possibilities of what could be coming from the newest wrestling company on the block. I personally cannot wait for this show or All Out. As any competition in the wrestling industry is going to be good competition. WWE needs a kick in the rear and AEW Wrestling is ready to do just that. They’re starting off with a bang. “The Cleaner” Kenny Omega, Number One Contender for the All Elite Wrestling Championship Chris Jericho, The Young Bucks, and two mystery partners.

The biggest question for this upcoming debut show is who will be Jericho’s two partners in this match.Maybe Cody will pull double duty? Maybe Jericho can work with the hardcore Darby Allin? We’ll have to find out when we get closer to October 2nd.
