With WWE’s yearly Mattel panel at San Diego Comic Con that introduces new WWE Elite Squad figures, attendees were treated to a surprise. As former WWE 24/7 Champion and current 205 Live General Manager, Drake Maverick, made an unscheduled appearance at SDCC.
Drake Maverick interrupts SDCC Panel
During the Q&A section of WWE’s panel is when Maverick, dressed as a banana with a Macho Man mask, revealed himself. After shedding his banana disguise, complete with cowboy hat, he stormed the stage. But not before handing out more flyers with R-Truth’s face on it. Drake Maverick then insulted the crowd, and left to continue his search for the 24/7 Championship.
There have been rumors that both Drake Maverick and R-Truth were both attending this year’s Comic Con. After Drake dropped the 24/7 Championship back to R-Truth, Carmella convinced Truth to go hide at SDCC. As of this post, R-Truth has not been spotted at the biggest convention of the year. This might be Maverick’s toughest test to date, but if he wants to recapture the thing he loves most in this world he will have to have his eyes pealed. Let’s hope that he can achieve this goal, so he can achieve another goal: consummating his marriage.
