Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan will be reprising their roles as Sam Wilson and Bucky Barnes in Falcon & Winter Soldier. Falcon & Winter Soldier will one of the MCU series on the upcoming Disney+ streaming service. During the end of Avengers: Endgame an elderly Steve Rogers hands Wilson his shield. Fans are hoping it was symbolic of Rogers handing over the mantle of Captain America to Wilson. However, that is simply speculation as Marvel has not given any official details regarding the story.
John Wick creator and writer Derek Kolstad has now joined the writing team on the Falcon & Winter Soldier series for Marvel Studios. This is according to a report from the TheWrap. Hopefully this means fans will get action-packed story lines like we’ve seen in John Wick and Captain America movies. We will find out when the six-part miniseries, directed by Kari Skogland, debuts in August of 2020.
‘Falcon & Winter Soldier’ Details
With Sand Diego Comic Con happening this week, the hope is that we get more details about the series soon. Kevin Feige did give some general comments about all the Disney+ series in general. ME made the comments at a recent Disney investor meeting this past April.
“These will be major storylines, set within the MCU, with ramifications that will be felt both through the other Disney+ series we’re producing and our features on the big screen. A post-Endgame MCU will be extremely different and extremely focused on Disney+ tying into our future movies.”
