During the TimeWarner Upfronts this past week, where AEW was announced to be part of TNT’s upcoming lineup, Nick Jackson had a very interesting quote that perhaps had some implications regarding CM Punk:
Take a look at our roster. Those are all the guys we’ve wanted. There may be a couple that I can’t talk about yet. We might be negotiating right now with some. We want surprises to happen and we have a big show in 10 days, Double Or Nothing in Las Vegas.
CM Punk to AEW?
Matt Jackson followed up by saying “[y]ou never know who you’re gonna see in Las Vegas.” Many have speculated that the video Jon Moxley posted weeks ago had some hidden AEW meaning behind it. Others, are convinced that the long awaited return of CM Punk to professional wrestling.
While that might not happen at AEW’s Double or Nothing (mainly due to this scheduling conflict) WWE Hall of Famer Sean “X-Pac” Waltman thinks it’s a foregone conclusion. On the latest edition of his podcast, X-Pac 12360, Waltman laid it out for guest Conrad Thompson:
