The Last Jedi: Throne Room
Granted, this one isn’t technically one of the saga’s lightsaber duels. However, the choreography of the scene, and seeing red and blue lightsabers, even fleetingly, wielded for the same side? This was easily one of the best moments of Episode VIII.
Kenobi v. Anakin/Vader: Mustafar
Regarded as the best film of the prequels, Revenge of the Sith also had one of the best lightsaber duels of Star Wars. We get to witness first hand Anakin Skywalker’s descent into rage-driven madness. The setting and tone of the scene was breathtaking. Imagine how different it could have been had Anakin/Vader had the high ground.
Best of Star Wars Lightsaber Duels: Luke v. Vader, Round Two
Luke. Darth Vader. Emperor Palpatine. The Rebel fleet decimated in the background by a full armed and operational Death Star. And revelations of a sister. This duel would see the end of Vader. Luke literally and figuratively beat the evil out of Anakin Skywalker. What more could you ask for?
