Marvel Studio’s The Eternals hasn’t started production yet. But, it looks like another big star is in talks to join the project.

The Wrap has reported that Games Of Thrones and Bodyguard actor Richard Madden is in talks to join the project. As of today, no details have been released about Madden’s character.

Now, if Madden signs on to the project, he will be joining Kumail Nanjiani, andAngelina Jolie. Jolie is in talks to play Sersi. And he will also be joining South Korean actor Ma Dong-seok.

We did report the character breakdowns for the film back in November. And one character we mentioned was Ikaris. With that character, we said that Marvel was looking for a male actor, age 20-40 to play the role.

Ikaris is described as, “an Eternal born over 20,000 years ago in the Eternal city of Polaria. His lifeforce is augmented with Cosmic energy. And, he has total mental control over his physical form and bodily processes even when he is asleep or unconscious. He has low level psychic abilities, enabling him to scan the superficial thoughts of any mind, less adapt them to his own. He can mentally create illusions as to describe himself.”

Now, it seems that Marvel could be getting Madden on board to play Ikaris. We don’t have a lot of details for the story plot. The Wrap did find out from several insiders that the story will be revolving around Sersi.

If the story does end up surrounding Sersi, it will be interesting to see how the rest of the story will play out.
