The Revival had reportedly turned down new contracts with WWE. Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder were both offered five-year deals worth $500,000 per year. That is a whole lot of money to leave on the table, but the reports are that they did just that.
The rumors of these contracts started this past Sunday. It was also said the former NXT Tag Team Champions were set to meet with WWE officials before RAW. If you watched Monday’s RAW, you were “treated” to the following segment:
As you can see, the talks did not go as planned. At least for WWE. It would appear that Dash and Dawson turned down that large sum of money, and this “rib” segment followed. You usually don’t reward your talent that resigns with a back shaving segment.
It also would seem, that wasn’t all for The Revival. BodySlam.net is reporting that WWE has extended Dash Wilder’s contract by two months. Which means his contract set to expire in April of next year, now expires in June. How can WWE do this? Well Dash broke his jaw back in 2017, and had to miss two months due to that injury. This tactic (which is within WWE’s contractual rights) was used to extend Luke Harper‘s contract after he requested his release.
The situation with The Revival becomes more interesting by the day. We will keep you updated on it as news breaks.
