Attention all Jedi and Sith, Disney is holding open auditions for it’s new Galaxy’s Edge attraction. That’s right Disney Parks Live Entertainment is looking for actors for Galaxy’s Edge at Disney’s Hollywood Studios at the Walt Disney World Resort near Orlando. This could be your chance to becoming one of their “Gatherers” and work at a covert workshop at Black Spire Outpost. There the Gatherers will be the experts in the fine art of making lightsabers from items located from the far reaches of the galaxy.
Job Description
According to Disney Auditions Gatherers are “Warm and inviting; capable of leading a structured interactive experience. Gatherers have dedicated their lives to restoring balance in the galaxy. Adept at engaging authentically with visitors. Though slightly quirky and mysterious, the Gatherer is always personable and humorous. Good comedic and improvisational instincts. All abilities, genders and types welcome.”

This opportunity could be a dream come true for many Star Wars fans. How cool would it be to become an actor or actress at Galaxy’s Edge where you can help visitors become part of their own Star Wars adventure.
The auditions will be held at the Disney’s Animal Kingdom Rehearsal Facility on Tuesday, May 21st at 4 p.m. They will have callbacks May 28-29 in Orlando. If chosen for a callback you are expected to perform from a script that was provided to you from the first audition. If chosen for employment you will be able to apply for membership in the Actor’s Equity Association.
