After weeks of denying that his WWE contract had expired, Dustin Rhodes will face his brother Cody at Double or Nothing.
When it was announced that Cody would be having a match at Double or Nothing, Dustin’s name was on everyone’s minds. That was the speculation, at least, even though his opponent hadn’t been announced until today. This match has been a long time coming. Dustin tried to get a viral campaign going forit at WrestleMania 28. The timing wasn’t right then, but it appears to be now. His effort was successful, after all.
Dustin Rhodes to Face Off Against His Own Brother
Dustin Rhodes will dawn a new look for this match, as he threw away his gold face paint. He’s replaced the gold with black, red, and a bit of silver. In the video, he talks about the rift between him and his brother, and the different lives they have led up until now. The match is also being built as “One Last Ride” for Dustin. That could be one last match, or it could be one last run. Only time will tell.
All Elite Wrestling’s Double or Nothing is filling out quickly. With just over a month to go, the Dustin Rhodes vs. Cody match will join an already stacked card. Kenny Omega will face Chris Jericho, the Young Bucks will face the Lucha Bros, and PAC will take on Hangman Page. It will take place on May 25th at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
