It’s been a busy day for Star Wars news. Earlier we got what appears to be a leaked promo poster for Star Wars: Episode IX. While some were questioning its authenticity, the latest batch of leaked Episode IX images appear to confirm it to be real. And this time we seem to also get confirmation of how Lando will appear in the film, as well.

Lando’s back, baby!

It had been relatively quiet on the Star Wars front, but things are heating up as we approach next month’s Star Wars Celebration. It’s been over a month since we reported the first set of leaked Episode IX images. Those included Richard E. Grant in a First Order uniform, and images of Poe and Finn that match set photos. This time around we see Finn and Poe again, but now they have some friends along with them.

Leaked Episode IX Images Show Lando, New Characters

Leaked Episode IX Images
Lando, Rey, and FInn as they’ll appear in Star Wars: Episode IX.

Rey is prominent in the new images, dressed all in white and wielding what must be a repaired Skywalker lightsaber. And then there’s Lando. In what appears to be a not-so-subtle effort to tie the original trilogy’s Lando Calrissian to that of Solo: A Star Wars Story, Billy Dee Williams is clad similarly to his younger counterpart (Donald Glover). It’s two other characters, however, that are peaking everyone’s interest.

Poe and new Episode IX characters “Zorii” and “Jannah”.

Naomi Ackie’s character, whom we believe to be Lando’s daughter, is called “Jannah” in the images. Rumor has her character as a sort of freedom fighter, which fits with the costume and her pictured weapon of choice. Next to her in the leaked Episode IX images, however, is a character we’ve all been asking about. “Zorii”, pictured in purple and gold, we understand to be Keri Russell’s character. Though we have no details on the character herself, at least we have an idea of what she’ll look like. Perhaps we’ll see her in action in the Episode IX trailer.
