That Hashtag Show predicted that Captain Marvel would have a big opening weekend and so far it’s off to a Marvelous start. The Marvel studios film is said to have brought in $20 to $24 million on it’s sneak Thursday night. Not bad for a film that has had it’s issues including a low Rotten tomatoes score and over all mixed reviews.

Brie Larson as Captain Marvel

Now we wont know the exact tally till Friday morning but if the numbers are correct than Captain Marvel will have the second highest March opening since Batman V Superman opened to $27.7 Million back in 2016. Batman V Superman went on to make $166 Million that weekend so it’s safe to assume Captain Marvel can break that easily.

Jude Law’s Yon-Rogg and the Star Force

Captain Marvel has a  March 8, 2019 release directed by the writing/directing team of Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck and stars Academy Award winner Brie Larson, Samuel L. Jackson, Ben Mendelsohn, Djimon Hounsou, Lee Pace, Lashana Lynch, Gemma Chan, Algenis Perez Soto, Rune Temte, McKenna Grace, with Clark Gregg, and Jude Law.
