Not to be outdone by the gruesomeness of the Lars murders, there was Revenge of the Sith’s creation of Darth Vader as we know him. Obi-Wan left him for dead, flesh literally burning off his body. The Emperor retrieves him and brings him to a medical facility. There they encase his still blistered and bloody body in the Vader suit with which we’re all familiar. It wasn’t a scene for the squeamish, that’s for sure. And it’s one of the most shock-the senses, standout Star Wars scenes to date.
