Upon discovering that Stormtroopers had attacked the Jawas, Luke Skywalker rushes home. There he finds only despair as he discovers the charred remains of his aunt and uncle. For 1977 that scene, however brief, was certainly shocking. It struck home just how evil the Galactic Empire could be. Their brutal murders would serve as the catalyst for Luke to learn the ways of the Force. I don’t know gang, this just may be the biggest standout Star Wars moment there is.
