Not only did KR: HGF come in 2nd highest for a Kamen Rider winter released film but it stayed in 3rd in Japan, against stiff competition from Wreck it Ralph 2 and A Star is Born.
SPOILERS AHEAD
As always we get to see our returning Riders from the previous incarnation on screen with the current riders. but Zi-O gets new Ride Watches to use, specifically the bulky W and extra padded Kuuga armors.
The biggest surprise is that instead of just getting the ADR of the previous actors, Takeru Satoh reprises his role as Kamen Rider Den-O since 2008! Rumor has it fans in the audience were in shock and some even drawn to tears seeing the iconic rider.
Other interesting things to note is that this is the first Movie War to NOT have the current and previous riders in the title. Plus we don’t get a powered up or super form not even a movie exclusive power up.
