The last time we saw the 16-time World Champion in a wrestling ring was in Australia at Super Show- Down. He was only in the ring towards the end of the match performing his signature moves to get a win. Cena has had a busy year outside of the WWE with him now being a rising star in Hollywood.
WWE Officially announced that the franchise superstar would be appearing on Raw and Smackdown next week for the New Year’s Eve and New Year’s shows, respectively. Cena has also been advertised on the WWE’s upcoming live shows around the U.S. It should be noted that Cena said in an interview that those appearance won’t be televised.
John Cena’s return to the WWE seems to be winding down but Vince McMahon is hoping that his return could spike the ratings. The last time Cena competed in a singles match was March 26, 2018.
