“Imperial Walkers spotted on the south ridge!” We waited on the edge of our theater seats to learn just want that meant. Then we fell back in those seats in awe as the Imperial AT-ATs lumbers onto the screen. The theater shook with every step they took. Seeing laser bolts and explosions against the nearly fully white background was both visually stunning and shocking.

And, of course, it was on Hoth that Luke experienced his first Force vision. “You must go to Degobah….” Thus, Hoth serves as another critical point in the overall Skywalker saga.
