The highly anticipated 3-show crossover between The Flash, Arrow, and Supergirl is approaching as the Elseworlds event is less than a month away. With so much already revealed, through casting announcements, interviews, set photos and more, it is time for footage and The CW has you covered.
This week, after the airings of some of the Arrowverse shows, the network released two separate promos for the crossover, each focusing on the Freaky Friday aspect of the event. In each trailer, we see Grant Gustin and Stephen Amell swapping roles as we see Barry as Green Arrow while Oliver wakes up as The Flash. Catch the two trailers below, but be ready for some major Freaky Friday vibes!
The annual event will be introducing several new DC characters, one of them being Ruby Rose’s Kate Kane a.k.a. Batwoman. As we have been getting mentions of Gotham City this season, you can tell that they’re gearing up for her debut as well as the potential spin-off series that is in the works for her. We’ll also see Elizabeth Tulloch as the iconic Lois Lane, with Tyler Hoechlin’s Superman returning for the crossover. Speaking of returns, John Wesley Shipp, who has played Henry Allen and Jay Garrick on The Flash, will be back but this time as the Barry Allen from his Flash show in the 90s!
Lamonica Garrett is set to portray Mar Novu a.k.a. The Monitor, who is a key player in the Crisis of Infinite Earths storyline. In addition to that, we’ll see Jeremy Davies, Bob Frazer, and Cassandra Jean-Amell will be portraying Dr. John Deegan, Psycho-Pirate, and Nora Fries respectively. While these are all the characters that we know will appear in the Elseworlds event, you never know with the Arrowverse as we sometimes do get unannounced appearances. Unfortunately, the Legends of Tomorrow will not be appearing in this year’s crossover.
The Elseworlds crossover begins on Sunday, December 9, with The Flash, followed by Arrow on Monday, December 10, with Supergirl wrapping it up on Tuesday, December 11, all at 8/7c on The CW. The crossover stars Stephen Amell, Grant Gustin, Melissa Benoist, Candice Patton, Emily Bett Richards, David Ramsey, Danielle Panabaker, Carlos Valdes, among others.
