Star Wars Gaming: Knights of the Old Republic

STORY

Story places this game amongst the greatest games ever made. Before KOTOR, we had comics such as Tales of the Jedi, introducing us to the era of the Old Republic.  This game is not only our first chance to adventure through the ancient time. It also tells one of the greatest stories ever told.  This would be the beginnings of house-hold Star Wars names such as Revan, Bastilla, Malak and more.

You start out as the usual level1 nothing soldier,  and are attached to a mission that confuses commanders around you as you are the outsider.  Start out searching Taris for Bastilla as she has been captured.  You pick up the first of your companions as you adventure and eventually rescue Bastilla.  As you journey on, you have weird dreams and discover you can use the force.  You then become a Jedi and with Bastilla’s aid you take on Malak and discover the life and plans of Darth Revan and his apprentice Darth Malak.

KOTOR turns into a quest to save the galaxy of course, but there are twists and turns to the story that rival the epicness of Empire Strikes Back.  This truly has one of the great stories not only in gamedom, but movies or any other story device.  You either need to play this game or watch a YouTube edit of the cut scenes.  There is a reason Revan is one of the most talked about stories of the Old Republic era.
